About the Course
Freddy Osuna of Greenside Training LLC is bringing his Human Tracking Level 1 course to the ranch. Over two days, students learn how to find, read, and follow human sign. These are the skills used in missing-person searches and rural response. If you've heard it called man tracking, it's the same work.
The course covers tracking terminology and methods, Greenside's Index Tracking approach, how to recover a lost track, and how to work as part of a search team. Each student receives a field manual, a Greenside T-shirt, a tracker patch, and a certificate of completion.
All instruction, registration, and payment are handled by Greenside Training.
At the Ranch
Non-Pareil Ranch is a working cattle and horse ranch in the foothills outside Bakersfield. Most of the class will be outdoors on ranch ground, so wear good boots and dress for the weather.
We'll have coffee and donuts in the morning and bottled water all day. Breakfast burritos and lunch from a food vendor will be available to buy on site. Restrooms are available.
You're welcome to camp on the property at no extra charge. It's an off-grid ranch, so cell service is limited.
How to Register
Register and pay directly through Greenside Training. Enrollment closes October 30, 2026, or when the class fills.
Greenside will send you the Non-Pareil Ranch waiver along with your registration.
