A quiet, overnight stop designed with horses and mules in mind
Overnight Horse & Mule Motel
Traveling with horses or mules requires planning, flexibility, and a place where both horses and humans can truly rest. Our horse motel at NonPareil Ranch is designed specifically for overnight horse and mule haulers looking for a quiet, safe, and stress-free stop away from the noise and congestion of town.
Set on open ranch land in the foothills of the Southern Sierra Nevada mountain range, our horse and mule motel offers ample space, peace and quiet, and an environment where horses can unwind, eat, drink, and settle comfortably after a day on the road. There’s no traffic noise, no crowded facilities, and no rush — just room to breathe and reset before the next leg of your trip.
We welcome travelers hauling horses or mules for trail rides, competitions, ranch work, relocations, or long-distance transport. Whether you’re stopping for one night or planning ahead on a longer route, our setup allows for easy pull-in, simple unloading, and relaxed overnight stabling.
Horses stay in a calm setting where they can rest properly, while owners appreciate the straightforward layout, secure overnight accommodations, and space for large rigs and trailers. Many guests tell us their horses arrive quieter, eat better, and settle faster here compared to busy roadside facilities.
If you’re looking for a horse motel in California that prioritizes low-stress overnight stabling, open space, and a ranch setting built around horses — you’ve found it.
An optional add-on for overnight guests
RANCH RIDING
Some overnight guests choose to add a short ride during their stay, while others prefer to simply let their horses rest and unwind. Riding is never required as part of a horse motel stay.
NonPareil Ranch offers optional ranch riding opportunities for guests who would like to ride out on the property, subject to availability and approval. Riding is by arrangement only, offered for an additional fee, and may require advance notice, paperwork, and specific equipment.
This option is best suited for travelers who want a quiet ride to stretch out after hauling, explore the ranch setting, or enjoy time in the saddle before continuing their journey.
Ranch riding is a separate offering and is not included with overnight horse motel accommodations.
For guests who prefer to camp on the ranch
Stay overnight with your horses
Some overnight horse and mule haulers prefer to camp on-site rather than leave the ranch after unloading. NonPareil Ranch offers optional camping accommodations for guests staying at the horse motel.
Camping is a separate option from overnight stabling, offered for an additional fee, and includes space for trailers, rigs, and simple overnight setups. This option is ideal for travelers who want to stay close to their horses and enjoy a quiet night on the ranch.
Camping availability varies and should be arranged in advance.
