Quiet foothill country. Simple camping. Space to slow down.

Camping on the Ranch

Welcome to NonPareil Ranch, set in the rugged Sierra Nevada foothills just northeast of Bakersfield, California. This is simple, scenic, off-grid camping surrounded by rolling hills, big skies, and the quiet rhythm of foothill country.

Park your RV, trailer, camper, motorhome, or set up a tent and enjoy open California landscape all around you. Take a walk, enjoy the views, sip your coffee in the morning sun, or settle in under wide, star-filled nights. Guests are welcome to explore designated areas during their stay and enjoy the land at an easy pace.

You’ll be camping in a place where horses and cattle live alongside the natural setting, adding to the experience without ever getting in the way. And for those who get a wild hair and want a little adventure, we offer a few ranch horses for rent in limited numbers—an optional way to challenge yourself or try something new.

Stay for a night, a weekend, or use us as a peaceful stop on your travels. Whether you’re here for fresh air, open space, or a quiet reset, NonPareil Ranch offers a relaxed, rustic place to breathe and recharge.
