Day in the Saddle Shop

Spend a full day in the leather shop with Jack Smith working on a project of your choice. Build a belt, wallet, spur straps, dog collar, or other small item—or bring something you’ve started and finish it with Jack’s help.

You’ll have access to the full shop, all the tools, and Jack’s decades of know‑how to guide you through each step. This one‑day course is perfect if you want to try your hand at leathercraft or sharpen the skills you already have.

Course Details

• Length: 1 day
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Location: NonPareil Ranch, 15 minutes outside Bakersfield, CA
• Included: All materials for your chosen project, plus use of all shop tools and equipment
• Accommodations: Hotels are just 15 minutes away in Bakersfield, or you can bring your own camp trailer and stay right on the ranch. Dry camping only—water available.
